Collision Investigation

  • Did the collision actually occur?
  • Was it staged?
  • Is the damage consistent with the alleged circumstances?
  • Is it a fraudulent claim?

VETA will carry out:

Staged or Fraudulent

  1. Detailed forensic vehicle examinations to determine consistency of damage with the alleged circumstances
  2. Determine whether the alleged collision actually occurred or whether it was staged
  3. Determine whether the vehicle was mechanically sound and roadworthy prior to the collision

Genuine collisions

  1. Determine whether the collision was due to mechanical failure or driver error
  2. On-the-spot attend at the scene of a collision anywhere in the North West of England to act as an agent for the owner or operator (if "O" licence covered vehicle). This allows immediate scene examination that can often prove vital in establishing the full facts
  3. Collision Investigation, which will include; Scene examination to determine road signing faults or road surface conditions
  4. Take statements from Claimants, Defendants and Witnesses, if requested
  5. Fatal collisions: Examine the vehicles following recovery within the 21 day period defined by the High Court Case Regina v Beckford

Engineers' Reports

Vehicle Purchase
VETA will examine the vehicles to check their condition and produce a full Engineers' Report prior to purchase.

Collision Repair
VETA will determine whether the vehicle has undergone previous collision repairs and comment on the amount and quality of those repairs.

Classic Car Agreed Valuation
VETA will assist in determining the value of Classic Cars or Motorcycles prior to selling or purchase.
